Exhibition in Print and La Societe de la Petite Voix

The BAR Gallery presents

A Members Exhibition in Print

14 February to 9 March 2012

Terrence Stamp by Cinnamon Heathcote-Drury
This BAR members exhibition at the Gallery at Willesden Green focuses on the art of printmaking: monoprints, etchings, screenprints, lithographs, linocuts, woodcuts, photographic prints and combined images with other media.
The exhibition will showcase some of Brent’s wealth of emerging and established artistic talent. This is a unique opportunity to explore the hidden art of one of London’s most vibrant and culturally diverse community galleries.

La Societe de la Petite Voix

Untitled by David Carter

14 February to 9 March 2012

BAR in collaboration with La Societe de la Petite Voix presents LITTLE VOICE. This group of artists aims to collaboratively exhibit and sell work as a cooperative, with profits being equally distributed between all artists, where they will be used to fund their ongoing studies in the area of fine-art photography. They believe that through an exhibition held within a local community – they give that community easy access to original works of Art. There is no hierarchy or pecking order in this group, everything that anyone wishes to say or share is heard by the group to encourage that person’s growth, whether it is about perspective or direction. We have found this approach inevitably awakens inspiration, intuition and enthusiasm within the group’s conscience. This conscience has kept us strong and united. Because of the economic circumstances that society finds itself in recent years, the absurdly high course fees that Education Establishments have now got to charge have driven us to form “la société de la petite voix“, in the hope that this group can participate in something, so beautiful, that firstly it should not just be about what is made by camera, but most importantly what is within photographer and not allow another Art become exclusive but inclusive!”
