The exhibition will showcase some of Brent’s wealth of artistic talent, featuring work from emerging talent as well as established local artists. The Brent Art Fair will give visitors the opportunity to view a wide range of work, including painting, sculpture to photography, prints…etc. Many pieces will have a price tag of under £100, making this the perfect chance to purchase an original and unique piece from a talented artist. This is a opportunity to explore the hidden art of one of London’s most vibrant and culturally diverse communities.
Our thanks to the following organizations for providing the prizes for the Best in Brent: Ace Cafe London, Cock Tavern Theatre, Lexi Cinema, Wembley Plaza Hotel, Tricycle Theatre and Brent Council.
Brent Inter Faith Week
16th of November – 17th of December 2010
Curated by Monna Rizvi
Its aims are: to strengthen good inter faith relations at all levels;
to increase awareness of the different and distinct faith communities in the UK, in particular celebrating and building on the contribution which their members make to their neighbourhoods and to wider society; and
to increase understanding between people of religious and non-religious belief.
The Inter Faith Network for the UK, working with its member bodies, is leading the week. Participatory events will be community-led, with local people and groups of different backgrounds holding their own events and highlighting work going on to promote understanding between people of different faiths and beliefs.
